Understanding the market heatmap
A heatmap shows on a single screen which assets are rising and which are falling. It is the fastest way to take the market's temperature.
Colors
Green means a gain over the selected period, red a loss. The more intense the color, the larger the move.
Tile size
On GraphTrade, a tile's size is proportional to the size of the move: the assets moving the most take up the most space, whether up or down.
Timeframes
Switch from 1 hour to 5 years to compare a short-term move with the long-term trend. An asset can be red on the day and deep green over a year.
Comparing performance
The Performance page plots several assets on one chart as a percentage change since the start of the period, so you can compare Bitcoin, gold and a stock despite very different prices.
