What is MFI (Money Flow Index)?
The Money Flow Index, created by Gene Quong and Avrum Soudack, takes the RSI logic and adds volume.
It shows whether money is flowing into or out of an asset.
02 · Indicator · MFI
The calculation
Money flow = typical price × volume. MFI = 100 − 100 / (1 + positive flow / negative flow) over 14 periods.
Flow is positive when typical price rises from one candle to the next.

Reading the signals
Above 80: overbought; below 20: oversold.
A MFI/price divergence is often more telling than with the RSI, as it includes volume.
